Summary
This study tested two immunotherapy drugs, nivolumab and ipilimumab, in 85 adults with advanced kidney cancer that could not be removed by surgery. The goal was to see if adding ipilimumab could turn non-responding tumors into shrinking ones, and how long any response lasted after stopping nivolumab. The approach aims to better control the disease, not cure it.
