First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested whether the Omnipod 5 system, which automatically adjusts insulin, works better than standard insulin pumps for adults with type 1 diabetes. 196 people took part, first using their usual therapy for 14 days, then either switching to Omnipod 5 or staying on their own pump for 90 days. The main goal was to see how much time blood sugar stayed in a healthy range (70-180 mg/dL).
