First seen Nov 03, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of two drugs, omacetaxine and venetoclax, in 24 adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) that had returned or not responded to treatment. All participants had a specific genetic change called RUNX1. The goal was to find the best dose and see if the combination could control the disease. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
