Summary

This study compares a new drug combination (OLZ/SAM) to the standard drug olanzapine in teenagers with schizophrenia or bipolar I disorder. The main goal is to see if OLZ/SAM causes less weight gain over 12 weeks. About 220 teens aged 10-17 will take either OLZ/SAM or olanzapine for up to 52 weeks, and researchers will track changes in body mass index (BMI).
