First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated Apr 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study is testing whether consuming olive pomace oil can reduce harmful brain inflammation in people with early-stage Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will compare the effects of this oil to sunflower oil in 80 participants (40 with Alzheimer's and 40 healthy). The main goal is to see if compounds in the olive oil can reach the brain and calm overactive immune cells linked to the disease.
