Could a special olive oil help calm the brain in Alzheimer's?
NCT ID NCT06245616
Summary
This study is testing whether consuming olive pomace oil, a byproduct of olive oil production, can reduce harmful brain inflammation in people with early-stage Alzheimer's disease. Researchers are comparing the effects of this oil to a common sunflower oil by measuring blood markers and inflammation in cells after participants eat a meal. The goal is to see if this dietary change could help slow down disease progression by controlling inflammation.
