First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether taking curcumin (from turmeric) and a special olive oil rich in healthy compounds can safely help adults with NF1 who have skin tumors. About 23 participants take these supplements twice daily for up to 12 months. The main goal is to check for side effects, and researchers also look for any signs that the tumors shrink or improve.
