Decade-Long jaw cyst study reveals best surgical approach

NCT ID NCT06133764

Summary

This study looked back at 50 patients over 10 years to see which of five different surgical methods worked best to treat odontogenic keratocysts, which are cysts in the jawbone. The goal was to find the most effective way to remove these cysts and prevent them from coming back. Researchers compared techniques ranging from simple removal to more complex procedures that also treat the surrounding bone.
