Brain scans could guide personalized OCD treatment

NCT ID NCT04786548

Summary

This study aims to see if brain inflammation levels can predict how well people with OCD respond to an anti-inflammatory medication. Researchers will use brain scans and blood tests to measure inflammation in 21 adults with OCD who are still experiencing symptoms despite current treatment. Participants will then take celecoxib for 8 weeks to see if those with higher inflammation show greater improvement in their OCD symptoms.
