Simple tools and tricks tested to help visually impaired take meds safely

NCT ID NCT06593405

Summary

This study is testing whether a one-hour educational session with an occupational therapist can help people with age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, or diabetic retinopathy manage their medications more safely and independently. The therapist teaches practical strategies like using better lighting, smartphone apps, and organizational tips. Researchers will measure if these techniques reduce medication errors and make the daily task easier for the 50 participants.
