Mind over matter: how your Brain's 'CEO' affects your Body's performance
NCT ID NCT06578091
Summary
This study aims to understand how problems with executive function—the brain's management skills for planning and focus—affect physical performance and overall well-being in adults with obesity. Researchers will compare 100 adults with obesity, grouping them based on their cognitive test scores, to see if those with lower scores have more difficulty with tasks like walking speed, balance, and grip strength. The goal is to gather knowledge about this relationship, not to provide a treatment.
