Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a common weight-loss surgery (laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy) could be safely performed as a day-case procedure, meaning patients go home the same day instead of staying overnight. It involved 30 adults with obesity to see if this faster recovery model was feasible. The main goal was to see how many patients needed unexpected overnight hospital stays after the surgery.
