Your own sounds seem quieter: how obesity changes perception
NCT ID NCT06298539
Summary
This study aimed to understand if the way people perceive sounds they make themselves differs in women with obesity compared to healthy-weight women. Researchers tested whether self-made sounds seem quieter than identical sounds made by someone else, and if working cooperatively with another person changes this effect. The goal was to gather knowledge about potential links between obesity, sound perception, and social interaction difficulties.
