Summary
This study tested whether a drug called bromocriptine, which boosts dopamine in the brain, can help people with obesity lose weight depending on their FTO gene type. 120 obese adults took either the drug or a placebo for 18 weeks. Researchers looked for differences in weight loss between gene groups to develop a more personalized treatment for obesity.
