Major study probes if surgery can reverse diabetes in obese patients
NCT ID NCT07451938
Summary
This large study followed 1,500 obese patients, some who had weight-loss surgery and some who did not. The goal was to understand what factors help people with Type 2 diabetes go into remission and recover from other obesity-related health problems after surgery. Researchers tracked weight loss, blood sugar levels, medication use, and quality of life to see the long-term effects of this treatment approach.
