New study tracks safety of prostate gel spacer for up to 3 years

Summary
This study is collecting information on the safety of a gel spacer (SpaceOAR) placed between the prostate and rectum during radiation therapy for prostate cancer. About 320 men in the UK and France who are already receiving this spacer as part of their care will be followed for up to 3 years. Researchers will track side effects and patient-reported symptoms to better understand the spacer's long-term safety.
