Could a simple drink calm hospital confusion in seniors?
NCT ID NCT05066503
Summary
This study is testing whether a special amino acid drink can help prevent or reduce the severity of delirium (sudden confusion) in older adults hospitalized for infections. Researchers will compare the drink against standard hospital care in 40 patients with delirium, while also observing 20 patients without confusion. The goal is to see if this nutritional approach can improve mental clarity during a hospital stay.
