Can simple supplements fight COPD wasting?
NCT ID NCT07288619
Summary
This study is testing whether two common nutritional supplements—fish oil (n-3 PUFAs) and vitamin D—can help people with COPD who are losing weight and muscle, a condition called pulmonary cachexia. It will involve 45 participants and will measure changes in body weight, muscle mass, strength, and fatigue levels. The goal is to see if these supplements can ease the severe symptoms and physical decline associated with this condition.
