Pre-Surgery nutrition boosts joint replacement outcomes

Summary

This study looks at whether giving nutritional supplements to patients who are malnourished before hip or knee replacement surgery can improve their blood markers of nutrition. About 72 adults aged 55-95 with osteoarthritis will take part. Researchers will measure key blood levels before and after surgery to see if the supplements help.
