Simple drink could cut surgery complications for broken legs
NCT ID NCT07155447
Summary
This large study is testing whether a special nutritional drink, taken around the time of surgery, can help prevent serious complications after a broken leg is repaired. It will involve 1,000 adults with leg fractures, comparing the drink to a placebo. The goal is to see if this easy, low-risk supplement can reduce infections, prevent bones from failing to heal, and limit muscle loss.
