Global hospital study tests if better food cuts infections and costs
NCT ID NCT05917418
Summary
This study aims to understand how providing nutritional support affects patients in hospitals who are at risk of malnutrition. Researchers will survey patients in China, Europe, and the US to see how common this risk is and then compare different feeding methods. They will measure whether extra nutrition helps reduce infections and if it is cost-effective for hospitals.
