Global hospital study tests if food help cuts infections and saves money
NCT ID NCT05917418
Summary
This study aims to understand how common malnutrition risk is in hospitals across China, Europe, and the USA, and whether providing nutritional support (like special feeding) to at-risk patients leads to better health outcomes and lower costs. Researchers will follow 400 hospitalized patients who are identified as being at nutritional risk. They will compare different types of nutritional support to see which is most effective at preventing infections and managing overall hospital expenses.
