Can food help beat TB? study compares countries with and without nutrition programs

NCT ID NCT06084715

Summary

This study looked at whether providing food support to people being treated for tuberculosis (TB) helps them recover better. Researchers compared TB patients in Benin, where food support is standard, with similar patients in Togo, where it is not. They tracked whether patients had treatment failure, died, or had their TB return within six months after finishing treatment to see if the food support made a difference.
