Scientists track hidden chemical buildup from lifesaving IV food
NCT ID NCT07392801
Summary
This study aims to understand how certain harmful compounds, called AGEs, build up in the bodies of adults and children who need to get their nutrition through a vein for a long time. Researchers will use a simple, non-invasive skin scanner to measure these compounds over 12 months. The goal is to gather information that could help improve the long-term health of these patients.
