Can a special drink help IBD patients stop losing weight?
NCT ID NCT07433946
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a special nutritional drink to standard dietary advice helps people with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis (IBD) who are at risk of malnutrition. About 146 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either just dietary counseling or counseling plus the daily supplement for 16 weeks. The main goal is to see if the supplement helps patients maintain or gain weight and preserve muscle strength.
