Personalized nutrition pathway aims to boost recovery after major abdominal trauma
NCT ID NCT06065202
Summary
This study is testing whether a structured nutrition plan helps patients recover physical strength and function after major abdominal surgery due to trauma. The plan provides intravenous nutrition in the ICU, followed by nutritional shakes for 4 weeks after going home. Researchers will compare walking ability, muscle strength, and quality of life between patients on this plan and those receiving standard hospital nutrition care.
