Can a special IV drip during dialysis stop muscle wasting?

NCT ID NCT07254897

Summary

This study is testing whether giving intravenous nutrition directly during dialysis treatments can help patients build muscle and better control blood pressure. It involves 16 adults who have been on long-term dialysis and are at risk for malnutrition. Researchers will compare weeks when patients receive the nutrition drip to weeks with their usual care to see if it improves muscle growth.
