Can better food in rehab keep patients out of the hospital?
NCT ID NCT07183098
Summary
This study observed 193 patients at high risk for malnutrition who were admitted to a rehabilitation hospital. Researchers tracked these patients for three months after discharge to see if receiving specialized nutritional care during their rehab stay reduced their chances of being readmitted to the hospital or needing other medical services. The goal was to understand the real-world impact and potential cost savings of focusing on nutrition for vulnerable patients.
