Summary
This study tested whether a combination of nutritional supplements and psychological support could reduce levels of a liver enzyme called GGT in people with alcohol use disorder. 197 adults with high GGT levels took part. They received supplements to support liver health and attended counseling sessions to help cut back on drinking. The goal was to see if this combined approach could improve liver function over time.
