Scientists hunt for clues in blood to predict nut allergy treatment success

NCT ID NCT06554691

Summary

This study aims to find biological markers in the blood that can help doctors better understand and monitor nut allergy treatments. Researchers will compare blood samples from 90 children with nut allergies who are either receiving oral immunotherapy (a treatment that builds tolerance) or following a strict avoidance diet. The goal is to identify immune system signals that correlate with how a patient reacts to nuts and how well they respond to therapy, which could lead to more personalized care in the future.
