Simulation vs. textbook: new study tests best way to teach nurses IV danger signs
NCT ID NCT07512986
First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study compares simulation-based learning (using actors and video) with traditional teaching to see which better helps nursing students recognize phlebitis—a painful IV complication—and make good decisions. About 90 first-year nursing students will take part. The goal is to improve education and patient safety, not to treat a disease.
