Summary
This study tested a special nursing care plan designed to prevent pressure sores (bed sores) in very sick patients with severe lung failure. The patients were in intensive care and had to lie face-down to help them breathe. Researchers compared whether the new nursing strategy reduced the number of new bed sores compared to usual care.
