Special nursing program aims to lift spirits after facial paralysis surgery
NCT ID NCT07305285
Summary
This study tested whether a comprehensive 12-week nursing program could improve emotional health and quality of life for adults who developed facial paralysis after surgery for a large brain tumor. Researchers compared the special program—which included education, emotional support, facial exercises, and family counseling—to standard nursing care alone. They measured changes in anxiety, depression, quality of life, and stress-related blood markers over the 12-week period.
