Summary

This study tested whether a special training program for nurses on how to read ventilator waveforms and manage alarms could reduce breathing problems in children on breathing machines. Sixty-four children in the pediatric ICU were included. The training did not aim to cure or treat a disease, but to improve how care is delivered.
