Research probes why nurses underestimate malnutrition risk in elderly
NCT ID NCT05691595
Summary
This study aimed to understand the relationship between nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and confidence (self-efficacy) and how these factors influence their actual care practices for preventing malnutrition in older adults. Researchers surveyed 179 nurses working with elderly patients to measure these factors using online questionnaires. The goal was to identify gaps and create a framework for better training to improve nutritional care for seniors.
