Heart bypass patients get a dietary coach: nurses lead the way
NCT ID NCT07172906
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether nutrition education provided by nurses can improve the eating habits and overall health of people who have recently had coronary artery bypass surgery. Researchers will enroll 160 patients and track their diet quality, weight, and well-being over time. The goal is to see if simple, nurse-led guidance helps patients stick to a heart-healthy Mediterranean diet.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that simple dietary guidance from nurses improves heart surgery recovery and long-term eating habits.
What could go wrong
