Nurses take lead in opioid treatment to keep patients in care

Summary
This study is testing a new system where specially trained nurses help manage the start of methadone treatment for people with opioid addiction, instead of relying only on doctors. The goal is to see if this nurse-led approach helps patients stay in treatment longer during the critical first three months. Researchers will compare this new method to the usual way care is provided to see which works better for keeping people engaged and improving their health.
