Summary

This study tested a nurse-led program using early movement, leg-sleeve squeezes, and blood tests to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in 1286 adults after brain or spine surgery. The program was compared to standard hospital care to see if it lowered clot rates within 30 days. Participants had regular leg ultrasounds to check for clots.
