Nurses lead fight against deadly post-surgery clots

NCT ID NCT07330661

Summary

This study tested whether a special nurse-led prevention program could stop dangerous leg blood clots in adults recovering from brain or spine surgery. The program combined early movement, leg-squeezing devices, and blood tests. Researchers compared 1,286 patients who received this program to those getting standard hospital care to see which approach worked better.
