Summary
This study tests whether a brief question from a nurse can reduce the number of unnecessary IV catheters placed in emergency department patients. About 1,680 adults who need a blood draw and IV line will take part. The goal is to see if this simple check lowers patient pain, saves time for healthcare workers, and cuts costs.
