Nurses' Quick-Check list could save lives after stroke surgery
NCT ID NCT07304973
Summary
This study tested a simple 12-item checklist for nurses to use after a patient has a procedure to treat a stroke or brain aneurysm. The goal was to see if using the checklist helps nurses spot dangerous complications like bleeding or re-blockage sooner, so doctors can act faster. Researchers compared 426 patients, with half managed using the new checklist and half receiving standard nursing care, to see if the checklist improved outcomes.
