NCT ID NCT02129244

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether having a nurse case manager helps people with multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and HIV complete their long treatment. About 3,600 adults in South Africa are involved. Half of the clinics have a nurse case manager to support patients, while the other half follow standard care. The goal is to see if the extra support leads to more successful treatment outcomes.
