Scientists investigate why some lung infections resist treatment in southern china

NCT ID NCT07377864

Summary

This research aims to understand why nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung infections are difficult to treat in South China's warm, humid climate. Researchers will review medical records of 1,500 past patients and collect samples from 106 current patients to study how their immune systems respond to the infection. The goal is to find patterns that could help doctors diagnose and manage these stubborn lung diseases more effectively in the future.
