New drug aims to supercharge CAR T-Cells against tough lymphoma

NCT ID NCT07052305

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This early-phase trial tests whether adding a drug called NT-I7 after standard CAR T-cell therapy can help the immune cells work better and last longer in people with relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma. About 24 participants will receive NT-I7 after their CAR T treatment to see if it is safe and tolerable. The goal is to improve tumor response and outcomes for this hard-to-treat cancer.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

NT-I7 (Efineptakin alfa)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could improve how well CAR T-cells fight lymphoma and lead to better long-term outcomes for patients.

What could go wrong

This is a very early phase 1 trial with only 24 participants, so safety and effectiveness are not yet proven. There may be side effects or no benefit.
