Sweetener warning labels tested on brazilian parents

NCT ID NCT07249008

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether putting a warning label on foods with non-sugar sweeteners (like diet sodas) helps Brazilian parents choose healthier options for their children. About 1,068 parents will pick foods for their kids in an online shopping game, with some seeing no label, some seeing a Mexican-style warning, and some seeing a Brazilian magnifying glass label. The goal is to see if these labels steer parents toward foods with less sugar and fewer artificial sweeteners.
