First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study uses a magnetically-controlled capsule gastroscopy—a tiny camera you swallow—to look at stomach damage in people who take NSAIDs (common painkillers like ibuprofen) for more than 3 months, compared to those who don't take them. The goal is to understand how NSAIDs harm the stomach lining. About 180 adults will participate, and the study is currently on hold.
