New pill could help people with rare Lung-Heart disease breathe easier

NCT ID NCT07441200

Summary

This study is testing a new oral medication called NS-863 for adults with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a serious condition where high blood pressure in the lungs strains the heart. Researchers will compare three different doses of NS-863 against a placebo (inactive pill) over 24 weeks to see which works best to reduce lung blood pressure and improve patients' ability to walk and do daily activities. The main goals are to find the right dose and check if the drug is safe for people already taking standard PAH medications.
