New schizophrenia drug shows promise in early trial

Summary
This study tests a new drug called NS-136 to see if it can ease schizophrenia symptoms. About 150 adults with schizophrenia will take either a low dose, a high dose, or a placebo pill daily for 5 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in symptom scores to check if the drug works and is safe.
