First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study is testing a new skin test (C-TST) to find hidden tuberculosis (TB) in 100 adults with rheumatic diseases who are about to start powerful anti-inflammatory drugs. Participants will get both the new skin test and the standard one, plus a blood test, to see which works best. The goal is to improve detection of latent TB so it can be treated before it becomes active, especially in people with weakened immune systems.
