New device aims to slash pain and opioid use after knee surgery

NCT ID NCT07191067

Summary

This study is testing whether a device called the NOVABLOC system can help reduce pain and the need for opioid painkillers after total knee replacement surgery. Researchers will compare the device to a sham (fake) treatment in 120 patients to see if it safely improves pain control and recovery. The main goal is to see if it lowers the worst pain patients feel 10 days after their operation.
