Brain cell injection trial offers new hope for advanced Parkinson's patients

Summary

This early-stage study tests a single injection of special nerve cells (NouvNeu001) in 10 people with moderate-to-advanced Parkinson's who have already had deep brain stimulation or similar brain surgery. The main goal is to check if the injection is safe and tolerable. Researchers will also watch for any improvement in movement and daily function over nearly two years.
