New study teaches parents to fight obesity in kids who beat cancer

Summary

This study tests a web-based program that teaches parents skills to help their child who survived cancer eat healthier and be more active. It includes 520 children ages 5-14 who are off cancer treatment for at least 6 months and have overweight or obesity. The goal is to reduce obesity and improve long-term health.
